Making volcanos go dormant

Volcanos are driven by a magma chamber filled with superheated water – over 100oC, and only liquid because of the pressure.
So we locate the magma chamber using ground sonar. We drill down and vent the super heated water through a steam turbine: Why not use the water – after passing it through a Dyson double helix – to remove the gold and platinum dust.

So we make the volcano go quiet – and we generate carbon 0 power: oh, and we get gold and platinum.
