This could be really useful; to study nuclear fusion, we only need to tricle water throgh a 3m tower. At 1m we start getting of X-rays, and at the base, the water is heated – and has helium and ozone gas associated with the falling water.

It produces 5 tonnes of helium, which E=mc2 teaches us is acompanied by an energy release of 2.5x1030 W. This fixes the nitric and nitrous acids, that fertilizes all plant growth. Which limits CO2 to a pre-industrial 2 part per million.

So a 50x1cm steam plasma tube will make 2.4 MW of heat. And drive a steam tubine to make 400 of electricity.
