Endless gold

The Earth's core contains gold and other heavy metals – with molten lava. Gold is the 5th most abundant element on Earth – but concentrated in the Earth's core. But nature will leach it out for us.
Gold and platinum are soluble in high temperature and pressure water. So as the river of hot water circulates anticlockwise over the Earth's mantel, it leaches out these metals.
This is why the geothermal water left behind metal deposits, and the water pressure drops, and the metal precipitates out. And at the surface we get a warm spring.
So we find just such a spring, and use ground sonar to track the water back to a mantel pocket 34 meters down. I thought only 10 metres. My internet contact did not say why we needed to drill down just 34 metres.
So we drill down to the mantel pocket – or we can send down our slug of high explosive, and form our own mantel pocket.
We get up a stream of 8 atmosphere 280oC water – with the heavy metals in. This is why this free steam source has never been used.
We pass it through a double helix – a Dyson dry cleaner. After were vent the pressure to 7.8 That is atmospheres. The water boils, and the Dyson extracts the metal dust. We use the steam to generate power.
I thought a $1000 thermoelectric mains generator was the easiest way to turn hot steam into power. And these things are most efficient at 350oC. So we can use a Carnot system, to condense the steam, and heat up the steam.
And we get gold, platinum, copper – but also lead and arsenic. So we sell on, to process into metal ingots.

Each plant will produce 20 tonnes of gold a year. That is at $40,401,284.00 a tonne today. And the Earth's core holds 455 million tonnes of gold.

Turning Thallium into Gold
Thallium is cheap, $48 per 100g. Gold is not ‎$403,100 US. But it is trivial to turn thallium into gold. We have a conveyor belt of Thallium dust going through a hydrogen plasma.
Above 4 atmospheres, the plasma self sustains, once initiated by a pulse if power from a fluorescent light starter.

Now we get neutron enrichment of the Thallium

So we use a centrifuge to separate out the Au. And the rest of the thallium we send around again.
I have said before, there is a far simpler way to get at gold: Drill a bore hole down to a magma chamber more than 34m down, and we get up a stream of superheated water, with gold, silver, platinum and gold in.
Pass through a regardised Dyson dry cleaner – and get out the metal dust. Use the clean steam to generate carbon 0 heat and power. Process the dust into ingots.

Free Power of God
In your local Church today. We use a 50x1cm steam plasma tube, to fire up a steam plasma. This turns regular water into massive heat – with light and X-rays

Why a Church – they have the local contacts to build a steam plasma boiler room. We use a 150kW thermoelectric mains generator, to give us 144kW of mains power. On Sunday we want 20kW. So we sell 120kW to the national grid.
This gives the Church an annual income of 360,000 pounds. So we invest 1,200 pounds, in each of 25 thermoelectric generators – with steam plasma tubes: we borrow the electronics from a fluorescent light, and once started at 4 atmospheres, they self sustain.
We get 9.75 million annually – of carbon 0 heat. No life enhancing NOx – that is plant fertilizer, and falls out of the sky as nitrous and nitric acids – to fertilise plant growth.
Now is the church going to spend this money – and no collection plate.

Making gold and platinum
The aim is to fire protons into a block of iridium, and get it filled with platinum and gold atoms. We then process the block into ingots.
The first job, is to fire up a hydrogen plasma. This converts the hydrogen into neutrons and electrons.

We separate the electrons off using a magnetic field, accelerate them using a magnetic field, and fire them back into the hydrogen nuclei.
Alternatively we just fire and electron beam into H gas. Probably simpler and cheaper.

Now this is a source of neutrons. That will travel forwards, bonding with atomic nuclei they find. So if we fire up a steam plasma above nuclear waste, we enrich the para stable atoms, which will fission almost instantly.

(Physics aside: We have 190Pt containing nuclear waste, we will get 191Pt, which fission into 39Yitrium. Leading superscript is atomic mass, but leading subscript is atomic number.
So as I have been saying for years, put nuclear waste to fill the bottom half of a tube.. Fill up with hydrogen, and strike up a plasma. Do in a water bath!
We render the waste fairly harmless. Put in a deep unused wine for 20 years – safe.)

But our iridium filled tube will fill with gold and platinum. Iridium is expensive - 850 dollars per troy ounce. Gold £1020. Platinum $2,270.50.
The equipment - $500. To make $8,500 and hour. Best sell on the mixed iridium dust, and they pay you by weight of gold, platinum and residual Iridium.
So the H plasma tube – the 21st century alchemist.
