Ending the Somalia drought

This country has a massive coast to the Indian Ocean. But high pressure desalinatioin is not an option. Instead we use vacuum desalination.
Solar powered vacuum pumps raise the sea up a 1.2m conical tower, and as ythe water reaches 1m of vacuum, it boils. So we pump out pure water vapour.
We then have a chain of solar power pumps, to transfer the water inshore. To a man-made reservoir. We then have a network of pupms, to distribute the water.

These pumps are supplied by the UN – as it is much cheaper than coping with a drought and famine. We have broken the depandance on natural rain fall: free water for all.
